Through my work I am exploring my interest in environmental and social issues, in particular, the impact of climate change. My current research has been looking at glaciers and the environmental role they play. I believe that glaciers resemble a human life. They are complex, sometimes old and decaying, sometimes alive and growing. They can be mysterious and beautiful. They seem to be unbreakable, while being fragile. And they are dependant on our behaviour as we are on theirs.

I am exploring those through a combination of drawings, paintings and assemblages, in which I use reclaimed and recycled materials. It is important to me, that in finding a new purpose for certain ‘waste’ materials, I create an analogy with our use and mis-use of our ecology.
